SHELDON STRYKER: They are caring about her education as it was very important to the parents and children in those days. This is a great example of his theory because it proves that they followed what was 'meant' to happen.
MARCUSE: Through out the film there is no need to question anything so it becomes passive and preferred.
ALTHUSSER: They relish in 'British' things and celebrate/parade their wonders.
