Fish Tank Location

Even though i missed the main film, I think that the locations would have a heavy part tot play in the connotation of characters and atmosphere. Council estates are, stereotypically, where most crimes happen due to the majority of the population being poorer and in less specialized jobs. When you see the establishing shots of the area, you already have an idea of what to expect from the story and characters, especially if at some point in your life, you have lived on an estate. Even though the action is probably over-exaggerated, the location helps to make the happeneings more believable, and maybe even relate-able.
