An Education

INTRO

Key scenes and give synopsis, Mention how the film uses stereotypes to Create a romanticized View of 1960's London, this film highlights the importance of Education and the family unit.

POINTS
  • Key Scenes - Scene in club - glamorous lifestyle only available to Jenny because of David.
  • Kitchen scene - doesn't need to go to university anymore because she has a rich husband now. This contradicts everything they said previously about needing a education.
Contrast Alfie
  • Families (leaving Lady And Kid) when Alfie leaves the children and Gilda it highlights how important family is in 1960s Britain. This is in contrast to an education. Contrast working class to middle class. Careers in An Education
  • Contrast to Fish Tank; corrupt family. Difference in family priorities.
